Has Any Member Really Run Out of Tobacco?

I often ran out years ago but I haven't since joining this bunch of enablers ::

It probably isn't ever going to be an issue for me, but I do wonder about people living in other places. Seems like it is getting expensive and a bit difficult in some areas to find or afford tobacco. I'm thinking of our neighbors to the North in Canada and some places in the UK or EU.
If I had to pay $50+ for a tin of tobacco, having a cellar would be ... out of the question. Actually, having a tin or two laying around would be pretty painful too. YIKES!

No, not me. My son-in-law ran out once. He smokes Lane 1Q almost exclusively. When he ran out we made a run to Tinder Box (40 minutes away) to purchase some Wilshire...which is 1Q.

Back in the '90s I did. "Cellaring" just became a thing due to buying rolls of tins that I didn't get around to smoking.

Until that is no longer legal. Which, IMO, is not a question of if, but when.

Depending on my rate of smoke. If I'm smoking all day long, I'll need more. A few bowls a day I'm good.

If peck ran out, once, he must have been smoking a volcano; I mean, dumping tobacco by the truckload in the mouth of the volcano and inhaling deeply.

See over years I have taken to following Peck around, he nice enough to leave piles of exotic dottle around for me!

Nope. Once I started smoking a pipe I was already a member of if not already posting in this forum. All the tobacco talk got me interested in trying other blends... and other blends... and other blends, before I ran out of my first pouch of Captain Black.

I heard that too... it was in a book I was reading about Greek gods and such.

I think a clear definition of "running out" is necessary. When I only had 5 pounds cellared I thought I was on the brink of bare cupboards and I panicked purchased another 175 pounds. Well, at least that's what I tell my therapist.
