Hand Cut P-Lip.

Can a P-Lip be cut by hand? Yes! But I’m not real keen on doing it again, it’s a lot of work. I’m not going to go to in depth here or post too many pictures. If you want to see more keep an eye on Mark Irwin’s blog, Peterson Pipe Notes. But here it is, a Deluxe BC stem for a 20S.

Well, he does all the roughing and shaping but I still have to do the polishing. He hasn’t quite warmed up to the buffer yet… But he’s getting there. I also have to bend the stems, he really struggles with that since he has no thumbs.

Ok, I lied. One more hand cut P-Lip. The 106 that @ashdigger sent me had a replacement stem. It was cut fairly wel but it was about .5” too long. So I cut tortoise shell amber acrylic P-lip stem for it.
