Welcome from NC, the real home of good BBQ! puffy

I'm also a peated scotch fan, grew up enjoying good bourbon but once I found peat I was hooked. Oddly enough though I rarely enjoy smokey tobacco, mostly VA and VA/per in my cellar.

I enjoy both, but never pair them. Peated scotch and anything with Latakia is just too much of a flavor dick punch for me.

In fact I rarely drink heavily peated scotch with anything other than burley based blends. Unless I've already had plenty of both, then I'll pair anything with anything.

Well, I think I can smoke a pretty good brisket or chuck. And, my baked beans are pretty tasty as well. My secret is a six pack of PBR tall boys. I don't care if the sauce is vinager or tomato based since I usually forget about it.

I was going to ask if you had any suggestions for tobacco pairings with peated scotch
I liked burley based blends, or burley based semi-aros. I put asterisks by the ones that are easier to find.

Love KC BBQ! Bryant’s is my favorite and easiest to get to but I will go out of my way to go to Jack Stack and Joe’s once in awhile. I’ve consumed lots of Scotch over the years at the GKCPC Pipe Shows over the years.
