Perhaps, my roommate wasn't a very smart guy. Lol. I didn't know anything about a French press at the time lol. So we probably were doing it wrong.Sounds like the water wasn’t hot enough and/or the bean to water ratio was poor.

I use the Oxo brand and have nothing but good to say about it.I was looking at nice grinders yesterday. I've been thinking about this route as well
More than likely that’s the case, French press coffee done right is amazing.Perhaps, my roommate wasn't a very smart guy. Lol. I didn't know anything about a French press at the time lol. So we probably were doing it wrong.
I’ve had delicious drip from Starbucks. Not every time but many times over the years.Starbucks coffee is![]()
Tobacco supposedly contains polonium 210If one drinks SHITLOADS of unfiltered coffee every day, they risk raising their LDL cholesterol and their triglycerides both of which are bad for circulatory system.

The best Starbucks blend was the anniversary blend every fallI’ve had delicious drip from Starbucks. Not every time but many times over the years.
Their holiday blend is great.
Burr grinder of any kind won’t let you downI was looking at nice grinders yesterday. I've been thinking about this route as well

Yeah I like this. This is kinda what I'm thinking. This is perfect. You've kept it simple. Here’s my set up. Hand grind and mocha. I always add water for an americano.

My wife would like this. She loves high tech appliances and convenience. My kitchen looks crazy with air fryers and toasters and microwaves and coffee pots lol, ain't no room to put anything. We got a decent size family so the kitchen is always busy. And all these appliances pulling power my circuit breaker kicks all the time. Can't run all these things at once. I tell my wife all the time. LolNever use the milk aspect but wife sometimes does. It comes out at nearly the perfect drinking temperature so it's good when one is on the go. Otherwise, we like French Press, which I've got brewing right now. Camp coffee in an old fashioned percolator is fun too. I've also used those little Italian stove-top brewers but I don't seem to like the one I have right now.

I've seen in your photos your coffee always looks good. I like mine just black, but I like when it has that frothly brown top too it.I use a moka pot. Then I put heated milk in a french press and plunge it about ten times. It makes a great froth. I pour that over the coffee for my own cappuccino. Ive owned little battery frothers before. They are crap in comparison.
I posted about unfiltered coffee and ldl levels once in the past and someone pressed me for citations like I was an undergrad before. I only drink a cup a day regardless
I got one of those little screen cups for bag blends, but it always ends up getting in the cup. I actually almost bought this same coffee maker yesterday but went with just the k cup version. Or my wife did, she didn't see the need in both..... Mean while I think we do lol. I wish I would have insisted.I don’t drink much coffee, but my wife is happy with this machine. It offers both options.
She uses the little refillable baskets instead of pods.

Might that have been the A&P 8 O'clock blend? My Dad use to get this coffee that was real expensive and came in this little tiny bag. He would only use it every now and then but this stuff would have the whole house smelling good. It had an enormous aroma too it that was just incredible. I wish I knew what it was called. It was either like a dark red or black and gold bag. But man that coffee smelled good. No clue what it tasted like because I never got any of it. Too precious too waste on someone that wouldn't have appreciated it at the time. But now I can appreciate good coffee I'd really love to try some more premium blends like that. Coffee that's special. I've had some good coffee at Cafes or coffee shops or whatever but I want to make that good coffee at home.
I may need to revisit it, its simplicity is right up my allyMore than likely that’s the case, French press coffee done right is amazing.![]()
