So I've taken up the hobby of fishing since I now have a personal pond. It's stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish. It also has snapping turtles haha. Anyone else enjoy fishing? Perfect sport for pupe smoking.

I enjoy most any type of fishing, and chasing bluegills and bass in the pond is a ton of fun. I moved into the mountains about 8 yrs ago, so river fishing and trout have become the go-to with my pipe. Nothing better than a pole and a good smoak.
One of my nephews e joy it while the other doesn't like to touch anything 'icky'.
Float tube or waders, a cob in me maw, that was heaven on earth for me up until a few years ago. I envy you and your private pond.

Ive fished my entire life.
We have 9 ponds on our property, including one in our front yard. full of Bluegill, Punkinseeds, SM Bass, LM Bass, Crappie, Bullhead....and an occasional Perch or brown trout.

I am not too into fishing. I like lakes and ponds and suck at fishing. I swear to God I could catch a Blue Gill in the ocean. I just seem to have a knack for getting the wrong fishes every single time. Basically for me fishing equals going to hang on the water which is great and bring extra stuff to carry.
If your pond is not surrounded by trees get a 4 or 5 weight 7 ½’ to 8’ fly rod and fish dry flies for the panfish and the bass. It’s a blast to get the fly to gently land on the water and a fish to bust up to the surface and grab it.
My sister would kill me! She calls it her private sacred place. It really is serene. I meditate there for 20 minutes twice daily.
I used too, away from camp and on the farm, used to take a month vac, fish and cast net every day!

Never been in France
at all. Though the clothing optional places here have taught me that being comfortable in your own skin seems to go along with other people not being comfortable seeing you that way. Like the 80 year olds are wearing sandals and the beauties are dressed like nuns.
