Have always loved fishing and hunting since I was a youngster. Last year my wife and I retired to South America (Paraguay) and my fishing efforts have been focused on fly fishing for Golden Dorado on the Parana River bordering Argentina. So far have caught several smaller Dorado on streamers (picture of the first one I ever caught below). Just got back from my most recent trip, but horrible dirt roads and flash flooding on my way to the river left my Toyota HiLux Surf (non-US version of Toyota 4Runner) stuck in mud and water overnight. While I didn't do any fishing at all this trip, I did get to sleep overnight in a Paraguayan police station where the officer in charge even put on a delicious asado (Paraguayan bbq) for me. A real adventure! Looking forward to going back in a few months and trying to hook a big one...
