How is the Nightcap? I unknowingly stumbled into 35 tins of Murray’s era Dunhill tins a few weeks ago when I’d just started buying pipe tobacco and I’m curious.

Murray era Nightcap, 965 and Durbar are what I call "old school" English mixtures, a lot of incense flavor. The ingredients are of quality and the taste is constant from tin to tin but take this description with a grain of salt as it could be the aging. Light Flake is really nice for somebody who likes Virginias, I find it much better than the new iteration.

Good to know! I ended up with a mix of Nightcap, 965, and Early Morning Pipe.

Absolutely. I have smoked once in the last month, trying to be super careful. Last Sunday my son and I cracked an old tin of frog. The weather was very nice and it seemed a good idea. And it was marvelous. May have a bowl again from time to time with my son as he's home from college for the semester and we are all quite homebound. Carpe diem, in moderation. This covid 19 is no joke friends. Good luck to all.

Here
I'm changing my name to Mark... nana

My cellar is only 3 years old, so I've not popped any of the stuff I've jarred yet.

I have, however, gotten some great aged tobaccos from people here.

Right now, I'm smoking some St. James Flake from the saltedplug sell off. I forget the date but at least 4 years old.
