Going Through My Closet

Great topic! It reminds me that I need to clean out my closet, my wife has been after me to do that, because she needs more closet space! LOL
I have some nice business / casual shirts that I haven't worn much since I retired. They are starched and hanging in the closet with the plastic from the cleaners covering them. Those will go to to our church which has a clothing outreach for people in need. Since retirement my wardrobe consists primarily of jeans and t-shirts.

Have to get rid of some stuff. But too lazy to sort through them. I'm hoping for some moths to do the work for me. But you know what they say. When you need them, they are never around.
Oh boy I have discarded my ambercromie and finch years ago and still finding it my drawers and closet
I give my excess clothing to the wife, and she takes them to a local store that will give a small credit for them and she buys some of their stuff for me.
I go through my closets every February when the weather keeps you inside. I also clean out all storage and closets a few times a year as I hate waste and clutter. I turn all my hangers around so the loop is facing out. If it is still that way the next year, then I obviously did not wear the clothes and they get donated. Lots a good causes to use my clothes that somehow shrink every year.

Personally I think that's it characteristic of age. Young bulls are slim and muscular and old bulls are much heavier. If you have ever seen a young bull and an old bull fight, that old bull knows how to use his weight to defeat that young bull.
Both. After my COVID weight loss in '21 I performed a major purge, but some stuff wasn't worth passing on to someone else.
Pulled down a suit I haven't worn since for church Christmas Eve 1992 when our oldest was three months old that I haven't worn since then, lol, and it was new about a month before she was born. Never been able to let it go, haven't had a prayer of fitting into it until some weight loss a couple years ago which I've further "refined". With some things coming up in the next few weeks I thought I'd risk it.
As of today ---- it fits! Luckily, it's a pretty timeless look.
Im mostly retired now and moved across the planet. I wear my clothes until they are no longer worth having. They migrate from the closet to the painting/yard work clothes bin.
Toss. By the time I’m done wearing them, they’re paint rags.
Thanks to the generosity of several girlfriends I haven’t spent more than a few hundred bucks on clothing, not counting shoes, socks, and briefs, in the past decade.
