+1 for Haddos, Sixpence, Cairo adding Cumberland, Laurel Heights, Montgomery and Fillmore to the list. As well as he is known for his "dark lord" lat blends, he really has quality VA to showcase as well, which might very well be behind the success of some of those mentioned lat blends!

24 posts and only a few mentions of Sixpence? 😱 for shame!!! It's one of my top 5 favorite blends ever, but that's me.

With that said besides obviously Sixpence I'd add Barbarry Coast, Odyssey, Westminster, and Jackknife plug as personal favorites. I've honestly never had a GLP blend I didn't like just others I like a ton but also admit I haven't had them all.

I do not mean to be a wet blanket here, but I largely steer clear of GLP blends because of the recurring mold problems at C&D. I just do not relish the thought of finding something I like, laying some by, and then, in a couple of years, opening a tin of tobacco to find the contents grew a sweater.

I wish my thinking was otherwise. Pease and C&D do some fantastic things with tobacco, but they have been unable to exorcise the fungal demons from their process.

In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
Embarcadero and Cairo. I'm always impressed with Montgomery when I smoke it, too, but I rarely pick it up.
Cairo is just great. A blend worth taking time with. It really rewards good technique. If you rush it the smoke is still very good but there is so much subtle little things that you can almost find a new one every smoke if you go slow and pay attention.
And Key Largo is just amazing. I could live with that happily as the only blend.

Well since it hasn't been mentioned, Maltese Falcon, I love the stuff.
Gaslight is good but the nicotine is strong with that one. It has been a couple of years since I smoked any, I'll have to bring it up from the cellar and reacquaint myself with it.
Drucquer & Sons Loch Ness is an excellent Scottish blend.
