Yes , in Spain is going to be the tobacco for the CAP Madrid smoke this weekend. According to Ricardo (CAP president) it would be available for the public by December. As far as i know , the distributor in Spain may be Global tobacos.

Tonight i was talking with a friend from Spain who had the chance to try this flake. He is an old smoker with plenty of experience. He found this flake to be flat. the virginias do not provide the sweetnes expected and the orientals where average. He have better expectation with the latakia flakes but he have not taste them yet. I have smoked and evaluated several blends with him and his opinion is so good for me as to not even try this one. However , i still have plenty of interest on the latakia flakes.

Finally i had the chance to taste both tobaccoes(20&40). My friend was right. The viginias do not deliver as expected. The 40 is ok but the 20...something i would not try again. They may improve the line if they improve the virginias.

So far what little I have read in the way of reviews have not been impressive. No one suggested we rush out and buy it. In fact, they suggested it just wasnt a big deal. Much the same as camageuys friend.

I honestly don’t agree, they are very interesting tobaccos and pretty unique.
First of all, they only use domestically grown tobacco, meaning that also the virginia and the latakia are Turkish.
The virginia is the main weakness, very bright, very light, little body and flavors of hay, somewhat zesty, not much sweetness goin on.
But the orientals and the latakia are just something special and they pretty much do all the work.

The orientals are spicy, earthy, some flavors of olive oil and the oriental flake also has some figue topping/casing, really unique but very subtle when you smoke it.

The latakia 20 and 40 are similar with the latter being a latakia bomb (obviously) but the Turkish latakia is quite different than the Cyprian one, smooth, velvety, sweet, really really intense.
Both have a odd trait: they are very intense flavor wise but zero body and nicotine.
I found the latakia 20 very balanced and I liked as a non-EM smoker, the 40 is really, really intense.

So I would recommend anybody to try them for the high quality of Orientals and Latakia and because they are just different than anything else but they are not as satisfying to smoke for the seasoned smoker due to lack of body and nicotine.

Maybe I will give it a try. I think Id go for the Lat 40 since I tend to like heavy lat when I smoke it

The Lat 20 sounds more like an oriental forward blend and Im not a big fan of those. Id rather have a lat bomb!

Correct me if Im wrong.

I suppose its worth giving a tin a go. If I dont like it I can throw it in the jar of mixed lat blends.

Kopp Tobacco has the distribution rights for Gladora, with the exception of Russia and Turkey itself.

It won't hit the US markets. Y'all have strict FDA rules about new tobaccos, making it impossible for new blends.
HU was never distributed in the States until late last year when Kopp partnered with Laudisi.
