What's the base of the display case made of?

Now that was worth the look.

Lot of really nice pipes, must have been a bear determining the winners!
I've heard of Joe Nelson and Old Nellie pipes before. His entry, the Panel Dawg, is great! That one is certainly a winner in my eyes.

They are inspiring,not sure if that inspiration will improve my pipe making or not!! Can only hope--and keep pluggin'. :?
