It's no secret I have a penchant for Italian pipes.
While browsing an Italian pipe retailer I discovered a young, fairly new carver named Giacomo Penzo. I was immediately drawn to his designs and flair. The pipe I liked the most had already sold unfortunately... so that means it's commission time!
I contacted Giacomo via Facebook and he replied shortly thereafter. We traded some pics of pipes and discussed details. Soon we had a shared vision. Work on this pipe has begun, and he has been kind enough to send WIP pictures because I love to see the process (don't we all!).
It will be a saddle bit stemmed pencil shank billiard (no surprise there), finished in a medium brown sandblast. I requested he put a slight forward cant on the bowl (about half the cant of a cutty) to give it some unique character.
More to come as I receive them...
