there are a number of drinks that have combos that sound terrible but actually turn out quite well. No one believes me but milk and brandy is actually not anything like it sounds.

Bumping this. Has nobody tried this rope before?

Yes, I had a delivery this week and, as far as I can tell, there is no Lakeland floral going on, there is the usual “burning bonfire” taste of twist, with enough nicotine to drop a rhino. There is something on it though because it leaves a warmth on the tongue (a bit like mint, not warm like perique) I’m just trying to work out what it is - maybe aniseed or something but in small amounts to be indiscernible to the overall flavour?
