Getting Tobacco from Europe

Hopefully this is the right place to post this, apologies if it is not.

Since recently getting back into pipe tobacco, I've been trying to get my hands on an old favorite, Bill Baileys Birthday Blend.

I've found it in stock in a number of places, but every place I've contacted says they won't ship tobacco to the US.

Is there a place that will ship from Europe to the US or are there actual laws in place preventing this?

Apologies for my ignorance, seems much has changed since I've been away from the briar.

Ship with DHL to avoid recent issues with UPS charging ridiculous fees upon delivery. For more info on that, take a look at the thread "Esterval's and UPS."

Most EU countries and the UK prohibit the shipment of tobacco outside their borders.
I believe Esteval’s is one of the very few companies who will ship

Every country has its owns set of laws around tobacco.
German shops can ship to the US.
They cannot ship to other EU member nations.

If German shops wont ship to the US its basically because they dont want to be bothered or they have been burned...or both.

The best long term solution. For both parties, as many here in EU would like to have access to some US-only blends. The most difficult part is to build trust

US residents and retailers are free to ship tobacco anywhere in the world, except Washington, Utah and…what other states? The problems arise on the receiving end, in countries with less freedom beans, that tax and regulate their citizens…differently.

I think Maine is the other big one; Massachusetts can't receive any flavored tobaccos

When I first began I encountered this issue right away. I even found a site in the UK and placed an order only to find the next day they canceled the order and refunded me. Why have a module with the US as an option if the laws prohibit sales etc?

Frustrating! Time to update the passport and buy some plane tickets

Or so I thought, until I turned towards the forums and community. The community is your entry point for hard to find and otherwise unattainable vapors. There are so many hoarders and (mostly) everyone is willing to share if you can develop a relationship or join a club, most are very welcoming.
