I am 68 years old. I feel excellent but do have lower back problems. Thank s for hydocodone. I still am a woman chaser now that I am retired. I am single, live alone, and have the time to do whatever I want. I am really talented at doing nothing. I have books everywhere, my pipes, and several good friends. What else do I need? The youth should look forward to ageing because you keep learning everyday. If you are happy, age is irrelevant! Keep smoking!!

I am 67 and also have lower back problems (arthritis), retired, live with my significant other and hoist little more than a good hardback book these days.
I play great stereo and have a few wonderful friends, also old and we all agree that I am an EXPERT on doing Nothing.
My pipes keep me going. In fact, it's time for another..........

To all of you walkers: If the good Lord had meant us to walk, he'd of left us on all fours. There's a reason He invented horses, murdercycles, and other assorted vehicles. Man was not meant to walk up right, we are not built for it.
Another point for joggers, walkers and runners to consider: I believe that God gave each of us a finite number of heart beats. Damned if I'm gonna use 'em up running around town when I've got a perfectly good truck.
I'm getting old so I treat my factory parts with respect and try not to beat them up too much.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!!
Thanks cobguy. I liked this quote so much I had to share it on FaceBook. It was well received.

Cougars attacks are a real issue where I live as well. In fact just yesterday I saw stiletto marks in the snow and cigarette butts. I fear I am being stalked by a cougar
Great minds think alike! I was attacked by a "cougar" in my early twenties..I never walked right again.

I heard somewhere that life begins at 60, so I have a few years left till I start living. In the meantime, maybe I should help Peck with his cougar problem.

I can't help it. Reading these posts brought up a joke I heard years ago:
Three old men were talking in the nursing home about what they wish. The first said I wish I could wiz every morning like I did when I was younger.
The second said I wish I could take a good dump like I did when I was younger.
The third said: "Every morning I take a great wiz and a good dump."
"So what's your wish?" asked one of the other gentleman.
He answered: "To get out of bed before it happens!"

I'm not to the point where I think it's better to be old than dead. I've been an old man for 30 of my 50 years. It sucks. Still waiting. Where are you, Jesus?

If getting old hurts, here is what you do. Observe your body and think "that poor fellow is in a lot of pain. I sure am glad it isn't me."
