Here are two shape 75, both marked Colossus, and have hand made stamped on the stem. Rather an unusual GBD. These are the only two that I have seen in 50 years of collecting.

Mike? Is that you? Everyone told me you'd sold all your stuff and taken up collecting Faberge eggs or 1980's video games (or something).
If so, are you back for real or just cruising the old neighborhood for a nostalgia fix?

Someone on Facebook asked why the 9242 was so highly prized. There are a lot of reasons, but I assuyme they have to have been made in smaller numbers than the 9438.

A very nice Shape 75 was just listed on eBay, if someone has a hankering for a large Rhodesian.
The other large Rhodesian is the 9676, which is usually stamped Colossus, those are seen more frequently.

The Shape 75 sold quite reasonably and it was in very good condition. A smart grab for $69 if you like large pipes. New Era pipes are always a little step up the food chain in GBD.

I have the nearly identical Originale, but mine is stamped 569M. At $300, I'd be tempted to throw the dice on this one. This is slightly larger than my 9242.
