Here’s a new one to me..
Dropped in my preferred B&M this morning (I had been alerted about the Gawith drop) and picked up a tin of this-

I believe it was introduced earlier this year, but I must have not been paying attention.
Definitely sounds up my alley- I’ll give a review once I get in to it.

Anyone else tried it?

I got a tin earlier this year and only have smoked one bowl - I will light one up today and report back I remember it seemed stout and dry, dry like dry champagne not like moisture.

I picked some up a few months back. Have had several bowls. Just decent for me. Nothing i will be picking up a pound of, but certainly not bad.
Yeah this was my experience smoking it earlier. It has a nice interplay of dark, toasted tobacco flavors, a little note of something I can’t quite place, coriander or something. I have so little experience in tasting the constituent components, I’m not sure I’m qualified to “review” this (or any) tobacco, but I didn’t dislike it. Just not one of those blends that smacked me on the forehead and said BUY FIVE POUNDS OF ME
And honestly, that’s alright, those tobaccos kind of scare me 😅

This was sold for the first time in the USA in bulk and tins around six months ago. I bought ounces of this and North Star and whatever else came out.

This one is good. I think it was my favorite among the new ones and probably the only one I would buy significant quantities of.

That's why I've steered clear of Dan Tobacco's American Revolutionary themed blends. I'd be much more likely to try a German tobacco called "Eidelweiss" or "Meadow on the Rhine" or something.
Well again, as I mentioned above, it wasn't created "specifically" for the "colonials." Initially it was only available in the UK, where "American blend" has a particular meaning (i.e. distinct from British blend). In fact, Europe has many "cowboy themed" tobaccos that aren't available here. Suddenly selling theme here doesn't mean they were initially developed with the American market in mind.

And while I understand perhaps steering clear of the American Revolutionary themed blends, I don't necessarily believe that they were marketed to Americans to appeal to their sense of patriotism, rather they are a nod the the fact that tobacco was an important export to the world during this period, and again they were likely developed and marketed prior to import into the American market.

Decided to pack my first bowl in the trusty old Kyriazanos Greek Dublin.

Pleasant smoke- I’ve always enjoyed a shag cut. They seem to do well in tall, more narrow bowls, of which I have many
Smooth, with an underlying natural sweetness. No bite yet. The flavor of the bright Virginia is typical- more hay than grass (which is a reflection of a cure-job done well). Not much “tang”, more of a rounded flavor conposition.

Just a notch below those brights is a different bag of flavors developing. I assume it’s the “oriental” varietal from Indonesia. It adds a depth to the blend that would otherwise be one dimensional.
I get flavors reminiscent of those found in good Cameroon cigar wrappers- barnyard, and a tiny hint of baking spice.

While it’s squarely NOT Lakeland in flavor, I do detect the spirit of G&H in this blend.
If you’re a fan of their shaggy Kendal blends, you’d probably find plenty to enjoy with Rodeo.

Even those who enjoy just straight Virginia’s on the bright side, or light Vapers- this one is worth checking out.

It’s not groundbreaking or earth shattering, but I honestly like it more than a lot of others in the same category.
It looks to be readily available at SPC, and probably other online retailers.

If you, or anyone really, are interested in the Cabbies or other similar blends, I’m usually happy to pick them up for ye /and ship them to you.

Of course, it’s B&M prices and you’d have to cover shipping- but it may be worth it to some of y’all.
