Look for 1812 Sweet Tobacco Man Made Soaps. My daughters gave me a subscription to them for Christmas.
smell like pipe tobacco or the tobacco flower? I have Tabac which is said to be a cologne scented after the tobacco flower (never smelled the flower) I also have some colognes scented after pipe tobacco (spot on).

This one is more of a mix of bourbon and tobacco. The bottles actually look like a whisky bottle setting in the shower.

Today arrived, brown twist and black irish x
The black one would be nice if the oil was'nt rancid. The meaty taste is there I even like it, but that oil is ruining the whole experience. The brown twist from the other hand is fantastic. Must say, the first virginia I like. Thanks for recommending it.
Try drying the black twist out completely. I remember smoking black twist in a box pass and it had dried out to crispy. I absolutely loved it. When I added some humidity and tried it, it wasn't my thing

GH rope lovers try this:

Use the black as a "seasoning" for the brown.

It doesn't take much---only 10 or 15 percent by volume. Adds a definite smokiness that makes brown more tasty, without the fatigue of relentless "BBQ only" flavor.

I actually like it better than either by itself.

yum yum :)

Tried this yesterday and the day before, with some leftover bits. Not quite enough of either, so I added some Semois as well. Beautiful smoke.

@gawithhoggarth : Rape Seed Oil. That didn't occur to me but it makes perfect sense. The trouble with living in the 'Colonies' is you get used to and assume that everyone uses olive oil when that was usually only used on salads in the U.K with vinegar and certainly when I was growing was very expensive. Thank you for clarifying that and parting with one of the G.H secrets!

There are one or two folks here who chew the stuff first, then dry it out and smoke it afterwards. Personally I am not inclined to try, so my review must necessarily be less than comprehensive :)
That’s effing crazy. I knew a guy who was obsessed with dieting. He would chew on a candy bar and then spit it out. Completely side stepping the messy side of bulimia.
I remember watching a Sargent Savinelli video, he said Matches would save and reuse his pipe cleaners.
God bless the strange and beautiful.

We had a fellow on here who used to wash and reuse his pipe cleaners. I never did figure out whether he put them in with his weekly wash with his socks and underwear. I had visions of him hanging them on a washing line to dry. But, hey ho, it takes all sorts to make a world!

The man leading the tour in the black & white documentary from the late 40's/early 1950s earlier in this thread was a company rep of some sort... manager? owner? and the oil being used for the black twist was clearly identified as olive oil.

That DOESN'T mean things have changed today, however. It is entirely possible that the massive post-WWII shortages in England during that time meant olive oil was a substitute until rapeseed oil could be obtained again.

(Not that it matters except to history buffs, in any event. It just needed to be said before someone latched onto the factoid as another example of "GH isn't the same anymore!" yadda yadda)

I might get some of this for when I'm at work and can't smoke so stick in my gum.
When I was in hospital and couldn't just go outside for a smoke like more mobile patients I stuck some GH black twist in a empty tea bag and wedged it in my gum.
Worked a bit I think , but still couldn't wait to be wheeled outside to smoke a pipe.
