Indeed, I decided to splurge on overseas shipping. I was actually looking for a plug whose name forget, and just ordered this instead. I'd never heard of it.Would love to try it. So many GH tobaccos not available here. Sigh.
Well all they had was un-serious. I guess you could say they had only sense of humor tobaccoI got my training on a different board and faithfully followed the advice from those I took to be seniors. One dictum was to only smoke natural tobacco. Now Warhorse was unnatural, but I was drawn to it given the manufacturer's writeup that it would be very strong and a plug. The latter was untrue, but I ended up smoking a few tins anyway. But this was an aberration.
So when I smoked rope I only smoked stayed the unflavored brown and black. To me the coconut, rum, etc., were not serious tobaccos, and if nothing else, I was a serious pipe smoker.
I will, and yes I'd say every one of their ropes has a topping, as well as any one of their flakes. Then again I don't believe I've ever had any rope that wasn't steeped in something. I like their offerings, just takes some prep and drying usually.I like all of the G&H ropes that I have tried so far, and find that the topping is subtle and doesn't take away from the natural tobacco experience. Usually I am not a fan of aromatics, and don't really think of these ropes as aromatics. Let us know how you like the tobacco!
AT LEAST NOT ANYONE THAT VALUES THEIR DENTISTRYGood & Plenty rocks! The best part is I don’t have to worry about anyone else in the house eating them! ?
It's got some type of kerosene all over it that doesn't dry.Haha! Well pardner, you’re in good company! We are all silly around these parts.
“If done properly” is the key phrase. Don’t even get me started on blends like Molto Dolce (sorry for those of you who like that shit) but that stuff is ridiculous! That is not art, that is a hot wet goopy mess!![]()
agree that's one of the best things about them!!I love the history of some of these blending houses and Gawith have plenty of that.
Not that there's anything wrong with newer blends. I just enjoy the thought of smoking something that's made in the same sort of way for years and years.
