@Hawky, I'm in the same boat. I'll be a monkey's uncle if there is no Latakia in there. I have smoked a lot of this stuff, over a lot of years, and I get Latakia in every bowl.

I ordered some Revor Plug about 6 mo. ago when ordering some other tobaccos. (Condor anyone?) I really liked it, but it reminded me of another tobacco. It looked like Peterson's 3P, so I got out my Peterson's 3P and the look, smell and smoke are exactly the same in my mind. Are they the same? It seems like it to me, but I would like to hear some other opinions on the matter. Either way, they are both wonderful tobaccos, but 3P is available here at a much lower price.
Also, I can't seem to find any latakia scent in either the tin or smoke. I think that the flavorings give it a unique taste, and maybe they could be interpreted as latakia.

Hmmmm... I'm going to have to revisit the 3P but I remember it to be very different than Revor Plug. Misterlowercase does mention somewhere in the above dissertation that 3P reminded him too much of another plug (can't remember which, Mick McQuaid?) and it wasn't worth the price difference but he never compared it to Revor. Interesting. I have some aged 3P I'll be visiting real soon. I'd be pissed if it tasted the same, I just recently spent A LOT of dough on Revor.

Thank you sir! I am glad I'm not alone on this. It took me a few smokes to place it because when you're not looking for Latakia and there is no mention of it in the blend it can be quite confusing. At first I thought it was the dark fired leaf mixed with the toppings but I'm pretty convinced now that there most definitely is Latakia in the blend.
Orley, next time you smoke Revor, look for the Latakia and I'm sure you'll know what we're talking about.
Next up, I need to try McConnell's Latakia Flake.

Why is MLC no longer a member? He will be sadly missed. I value his contributions very highly indeed.

I don't know exactly what happened but some words were exchanged in a thread that I didn't see and the next thing I knew... Poof! He was gone: ( There was a thread started about him being banned, you may be able to search for that thread, as you can imagine that thread got shut down pretty quick. I'm not trying to excuse his behavior or anything like that but his absence creates a large void within this forum, as he put up some pretty well thought out threads (this here thread being one of them). I learned an awful lot from him just within my short time of being a member here.

Oh man, oh man, oh man! I totally had a bad senior moment posting about Revor Plug. I just realized that I was thinking of Velvan Plug! Revor Plug is NOT like Peterson's 3P, but I believe Velvan Plug is.

Now I feel like a total idiot for going on about it not tasting any latakia in it. Well they both have the letter V in the name....
As Emily Litella would say: "Nevermind".

Haha... No worries Orley, it happens to the the best of us. I hope GQ gets Revor back in stock so you can get your hands on some. Maybe it WAS Velvan Plug that Misterlowecase said reminded him of 3P? It's somewhere in his large post above I'll find it one of these days.
