EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title ( See Rule 9 )

Hi all,

I recently went to my grandfathers house and found a lot of cigars and tobacco.
Most of them are from Cuba, but there are also some from US, UK, Japan and Jamaica. I really dont know aaaaaanything about this, but they look like that could be worth couple of bucks. Some of them are not even opened from original box.

Is there a place on a forum I can post pictures and somebody can tell me if they are worth something?

Thanks.

If you put up pictures you certainly will get peoples opinion on value.

If the cigars were not kept in a humidor, they are worth nothing.

One exception, possibly the H. Upmann tubos (tubed) are still good.

The tinned pipe tobacco may also still be good but of little value.

Amazing! First of all, I don't know a lot about the market for uber-vintage cigars, but unless they've been continuously stored in a humidor for all this time, they may not have much financial value. Also, the fact that they're not full boxes will probably also be working against you there. Some of the European cigarillos may have been dry-cured and thus not require humidification, but those probably aren't very valuable to begin with. If they have been stored in a humidor and are in good condition, there are consignment and auction specialists that deal in vintage Cuban cigars. I believe cgarsltd.co.uk has vintage auctions, but don't know any others off the top of my head. Getting current Cuban cigars is enough of a hassle for me, so I'm just not a part off the vintage world.

Even though you might not have a gold mine on your hand, there is no doubt that you have some incredible history.

The vintage tobacco tins on the other hand... If they're still well-sealed, you might be in business. I'd call upon The Stud as suggested.

$10+shipping. Best we can do.

JK. I saw a 1999 bells three nuns sell on ebay for $300. I had the same tin that was dry as a bone, and molded as soon as I opened and rehydrated it.

Value is subjective, but I disagree with this part of your comment based on my perception of value. I've seen empty, rusty tins of Three Nuns sell for $20. Having a sealed tin in that condition? There's definitely value there. Same with the Dunhill tin. I'm not an expert on dating Dunhill tins but that's got some age on it judging by the fact that it's the painted label and not a sticker. I believe the blue rim denotes that it is a Murray's era tin. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

The Cubans are “lower end” in terms of them being Coronas and Petit Coronas but were damn good cigars. It is difficult to tell from the pics but, it looks like the labels are from pre-embargo Republic of Cuba. The boxes may be of interest to some collector even if the cigars may be shot.

Good Lord. A Cuban 'Henry Clay.'
You have plenty of amazing items there. Even if those cigars are "beyond help" I'd still try them.
Old Three Nuns is on my 'bucket list'---I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Gold Block sucks. I have an old tin here. It smells great but it has no depth or body whatsoever. In fact if anyone wants it I'll give it to them.

The tobacco is worth something. The cigars in tubes are do-able and the stuff in cellophane like wise as I have had pre-embargo cigars in cellophane wrappers that were surprisingly OK. The boxes seem to show damp marks on the paper inserts so they are probably as dead as a Do-Do. How on earth did he come by the Russian cigarettes? I assume you are in Holland right?

Hey guys! Thanks for all your replies. I have already sold two tins of tobacco and some cigars :) actually, I think I might found more since I only searched one room, and it was shuffeled around. So I’ll let you know.

and about Russian cigars...he was kind of a Comunist back in the time. you can only imagine how many pins and badges of Lenin and SSRS stuff I found. :D
