We have a B&M like that here in Florida. Every time I go there some stray follws me home. ?There are a few more gems tucked away at this B&M... I may pick up a mate for this one.
I have been using a white Crayon, it seems a little easier to deal with for me.Will touch up the stem logo but need a new paint pen, mine got all shitty.
Here in CA, that's what all the tins go for after sales tax and tobacco taxes. It's kind of a bummer, but they also tend to have tins I can't score online, so I pay it. The only real exception is the Gawith tins, which are 17.95 before tax. Not that much more than many internet retailers. I do most of my buying online, but try to stop in once or twice a month or so.I didn’t haggle on this one for $40. Some are overpriced... there is a 1968 Dunhill Bruyere but the finish is all but gone with super oxidized stem only asking $195.
Also a tin of three nuns green is $25. I want to support the B&M but I’m not paying that.
Yes it means 1948-pre-1970 manufacture or so.That's a real gem. Pure class. When I saw your comment about sanding the stem, I didn't understand why. Thought the stem was meant to be that color. Lol. You did a great job cleaning it up.
What does the "reg'd" mean? I've seen that on estate listings as well. Is it a line if pipes ir does it refer to a certain era or something?
Yeah this price was before sales tax so that would put it at $26.75 out the door. I can get two tins of three nuns green for that. Here in CA, that's what all the tins go for after sales tax and tobacco taxes.
