This reminds me of being a gamer many years ago. playing MechWarrior3. People would join "clans" (teams) that regularly did battle. You could sometimes go to a clan's site and see some real pics and other info.
I got a great kick out of discovering one team was a teen-aged goth girl paired up with a fat, middle aged sheriff's deputy, two people that would cross the street in real life to avoid each other, but were an insanely effective killing machine together in this virtual game.

EDIT: And, don't get on me for "hatin'" or stereotyping, as I have been both a teenage goth girl and a fat middle aged sherrif's deputy (in games, anyway :nana: )
