Just sounds like you're trying aromatics a bit soon in your pipe smoking. They're best suited for further down the road than at the beginning. If you're determined though, let some dry overnight and give it another go.

Well there you go... I wasn't even aware they were aromatics. In my ignorance I thought aromatics were tobaccos flavoured with cream/chocolate/vanilla/etc.
So what is Coniston flavoured with? I've read a thread on here where people are slating the Lakelands, saying they're flavoured with soap, moth balls and even your granma's old perfume. I didn't get any of that from my smoke.
Is there an unscented version of CCP? I tried it yesterday and it tasted like someone squirted Dawn dish soap in my mouth... really strong soapy perfume taste for me.
I'm one of those rare people that likes Turkish Delight. Maybe that's the reason.
There's a tobacconist near me that sells a few American blends, one of which is Irish Cream. I'll be buying some next time I'm in. Maybe after I've tried that the Lakelands will taste horrible, like they seem to for everyone else.
You did like me and went all out on the first try. If you like that one, the rest will be quite favorable to you.
