I would like to know if anyone has tried the Five Brothers tobacco. It appears to have the same shag cut as the Drum that I like and high nic hit but I have never tried it.

I have a sample of it that I got out of the box pass, but I've been too chicken to try it yet....

I'm not sure if 5 Brothers will be a good replacement, it has a very distinct flavor. I like it but the best description I could give you is a barnyard taste. Like they laid down fresh burley in a horse barn with the straw, left it a few weeks to age then shoveled it up and bagged it :D

Try this http://pipesandcigars.com/thsaprpito40.html and this http://pipesandcigars.com/rygoprpito40.html

Both premium shag cuts that work fine in a pipe or a paper.

Five Brothers was my grandpa's favorite tobacco -- it's all he ever smoked as far back as I can remember. I used it over a year ago to help me kick the cigarette habit.. it worked. If it's the nic hit you're looking for, I say go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed. :) I don't recall it tasting great, but it wasn't bad either. I remeber that it lights very easy and burns fairly quick, and the room-note is pretty strong. Hope this helps a bit.
