Thank you!Right on! I love the multi-tone effect in that final photo. And you weren't too heavy-handed with the rustication.
Very beautiful.
I like a deeper rustication too. I went lighter because it had a hole in the outside bottom of the shank that I had to sand down. The hole didnt go all the way through. But since it was thinner there I went lighter so it all matched.I like it . I say go deeper … I’ve done a few pipes like that , deep and craggy makes for a good hand feel .
Thank you! That almost looks like a sandblast. Bravo!
I wanted to use White Diamond, then Carnauba wax, but I gotta order it. So I just did Carnauba wax on the rotary buffer pad.It looks good. What did you use for the top coat? It has a satiny look that I like.
Plus it looks like it's on her Olfa Mat... double trouble for you there. (That is unless it's yours)Ps; My wife is going to kill me the room is filled with hairs off the polisher.
No thank god thats mine. lolPlus it looks like it's on her Olfa Mat... double trouble for you there. (That is unless it's yours)
Nice work though.
Fist Ever Rustication...
lol Thanks! You did the rustication with your fist?
All kidding aside, the finished pipe looks very nice! Congratulations on a job well done.
Thanks! That’s a pretty even rustication. It looks like it could’ve been a Rossi or something. Well done!
Thanks. Yeah I definitely want to. This pipe had a deep pit in the shank, so I had to sand that out and rusticate with a light hand. I'd like to do something like a Dr. Grabow freehand, with smoke lines, maybe a tobacco leaf like on some.Looks very nice. Are you going to try a craggy rustication when you have a suitable piece?
