Today I smoked leftover GH nos27 perique flake .In the warmer months I like to smoke EMP or Charatan First Bowl same thing in my opinion. Always with a large cup of ground coffee.

Normally a Va/VaPer flake for me, unless there's frost on the ground & I'm out walking the dog. Then it's an oriental/Latakia mixture like Exmoor or Maltese Falcon to tingle the nostrils & stop them from freezing up.
In most cases I do prefer having some medium strength Burley forward blends in the morning
Navy Flake and French Roast
EMP or Presbyterian are normally my first bowls. They seem to taste best with coffee to me personally.
I keep a jar of mixture for first smoke, Gold Block with F&T Blackjack in MM cob to go with the first mug of tea. Then Cabbies in my beater and after that, jokers wild, anything goes.
My second favorite smoke is my first of the day behind my last at night. I usually start with something lighter. McConnell’s Oriental, Early Morning Pipe, Mac Baren Balkan, Merde de Cheval, or Skiff. Sometimes I change it up and may smoke Christmas Cheer, Charing Cross, or even Quiet Nights. My rotation is all over the place, but I favor English blends and those at the top particularly go well with my coffee. Often times, I only smoke 2 bowls a day so my first is very important to me.

My first pipe is always after breakfast and coffee, walking in the yard with my dogs. I prefer something flavorful that can handle coffee aftertaste so I tend towards things like Quiet Nights, EMP, Luminare, Windjammer… tasty, strongish, and not needing thought

Nice, revived thread. I'll pitch in with the morning routine.
Wake up to no alarm, realize i'm still here, reach to my right and load some Pegasus in a meer. Maybe repeat if the cobwebs aren't yet cleared. Then it's off to make breakfast and grab that coffee. After breakfast is usually when i catch up on the forums and y'all see the first WAYS post. :P

On my days off when I've got nothing planned for the day, and no chores on the "Honey Do List"; I like to get up and make a cup of coffee, go out to the shop and choose a pipe, and then choose a tobacco, and sit and watch sports or old time TV. In the late Spring and Summer months I'll sit on the porch or the patio and enjoy the fresh morning air as I puff on my pipe.
As for my tobacco it's pretty random. Some days it's an aromatic, other days it's an English. For a while my go to morning smoke was either Dunhill - Early Morning Pipe or Samuel Gawith - Skiff Mixture, as I find both of those blends to be very similar.

Whatever I'm in the mood for. I rarely have more than one bowl a day and it's usually after lunch, during the warmer months I'll have a second after dark. Smoking at night is very serene when I'm not freezing my balls off.
Tend to be smoke SG Full Virginia Flake paired with a fresh double espresso at first coffee break around 8am PST with a great friend and colleague.
My morning starts at 5pm sun-wed. Those days I usually start a bowl when I get to work, which recently has been Indaba. My work blends have been Indaba and Dark Birds Eye, respectively.
Then, when I get home at 730am, I've been smoking through tins of FVF. I'm sure I'll get bored of that and move onto the next interest.

Usually a VaPer (Stokkebye LBF, Peterson's DNR or something similar), but not infrequently an Oriental mixture or a small bowl of English (Peterson's Standard Mixture).
My morning routine starts with carefully getting out of bed to not wake the wife. I then start the coffee, then I'll excitedly rub one out (I lean towards flake) this morning it was Star of the East.
By this time the coffee is ready and by the time I fill a bowl my wife is up and pours both a cup, then I enjoy a smoke and coffee while we discuss the day's activities.
