I ordered a pre-bored ebauchon from PIMO that arrived earlier this week, so I spent a few hours over the last couple days carving this pipe. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I'm enjoying a bowl of McClelland Easy Street in it right now!

Aaron, that looks really nice. You did a great job. I love the grain on that one.

Beautiful job!

I see you coerced my first love to pose with your creation in the second pic!

What stain and finish did you use?

Thanks for all the encouragement, I know there will be more creations coming! Wallace, it was pretty easy to get the Prince to pose with the pipe  . Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my grandfather's passing, and since he smoked Prince Albert and he's the reason I took up the pipe, I picked up a pouch to try the other day. I have to say I really like the Prince Albert, it'll be one I keep around. As for the pipe, the stain was an amber colored alcohol based stain that I use for my guitar building hobby. I put several coats of stain on and then applied a carnauba wax finish. It could probably use a little more buffing to bring out it's full shine but I was too anxious to try smoking it!
