Yeh, Jar Jar, there are others, but I just felt like someone should defend him. I never even thought anything about him much, till I saw the hate on social media.

And, what the hell kinda of sick parents were Hans and Leila to raise such a prick, ha ha. Star Wars just makes it seem so easy for a person to snap and seek death and destruction of all humanity. There must be a bad gene in that family...

In the books, they had 3 kids. Twins and a youngin they actually named Anakin. It was one of the twins that eventually went dark, but they were such good storylines. Sad to seem them erased from canon

Toobfreak... the respect I had for you in this forum has been destroyed, and not unlike the Deathstar, all it took that one perfect shot. You'd have better luck arguing that the Nazis weren't all that bad... and I'm Jewish :puffy:

this movie gave Vader his balls back after the tragedies that were I II and III
Yeah... Anakin in I, II, and III was a bit of a baby. They did a much better job with Anakin in the cartoon, Star Wars: The Clone Wars all of which takes place between episodes II, and III. You know it's bad when a character is outmatched by his cartoon counterpart.

Hey, at least now I know I've accomplished something in this forum. Frankly, I thought that Christensen's acting was flat. There was no tone, no emotion to his dialog. And yes, he did whine constantly about not being allowed to do more. It was like he was reading the lines off a card. I never saw him before, but I wondered if they couldn't have gotten someone better? Same with a few other characters. But what I liked most about the movies was that the CGI was so much improved that there was so much more they could show of the world and make real that they couldn't even afford to try with Episodes IV, V and VI that made the world of Star Wars so much more palpable. I enjoy all seven films for different reasons. Despite weaknesses and faults in all, I would so much rather have them all than not.

Toob, that's interesting..... the relentless use of CGI had ruined movies IMHO. I can't stand all the newer superhero and transformer type movies because CGI, to me, has replaced acting and story lines.

Agreed. I just watched Superman vs. Batman and the overuse of CGI ruined it for me. CGI has become a substitute for better acting and writing. But in Star Wars, CGI is an inevitable part and its use to bring beautiful, futuristic city-scapes to life outside windows behind actors in a room, futuristic vehicles whizzing through the air, all the little details so masterfully placed about the scenes of I, II and III gave the Star Wars World a solidity that was simply impossible in the original movies because back then it was not a simple matter to do these things, you had to use real models and sets, and I bet there is a lot that Jesse could say which speaks to this matter.
