I have left the youtube. It's a feeling of peace and tranquility, of not knowing anything at all, besides I can't stop with social networks, now I hardly use my cell phone. Even people look at me funny in the bar, or crossing a pedestrian crossing, when the normal thing is to go doing eights on the street pending the phone, with social networks. We know that there are interesting things too, of course. But I am making an effort to endure as much as possible without knowing anything about the demonic social networks. The only social network is here, with you. On my desktop computer.8bf084cdce2a1f9fdcd5e38379a0fc8a.gif

Much like sports, I'd rather be doing the thing rather than watching someone else do it. I was clued in by my daughter that there are actually reaction videos to someone else watching movies.🤷‍♂️
Top three video types that I don't understand, in no particular order...🤔

1. Reaction videos (a video of someone reacting to something; a music video, movie trailer, news clip, etc.)

2. Unboxing videos (a video of someone unpacking an item, describing the packaging, and perhaps assembling the item)

3. Gamer streams (watching a video game being played by someone else and perhaps their friends while being able to hear them chat)

I won't even get started on TikTok. 😫

Pipe centric youtubers aren't really my thing, I've heard to much conjecture and opinion passed off as fact.

But there is a gentleman named Paul Brodie who makes handmade custom bicycle and motorcycle frames and is a wizard with an oxy/acetylene torch. He is probably the most skillful brazer on the planet. I love to braze and am fairly proficient with a flame, but this guy takes it to a whole other level. He makes some of the most beautiful fillet welds on pipe saddle joints, which is difficult to say the least. He also does a lot of custom parts for things like Aermacchi and Triumph motorcycles which is right up my alley.

Bremmen is a favorite and I'll add Stuff and Things as a good one for a blocky approach to reviews. I don't watch to hear Bradley's opinion on the smoke, as his tastes differ from mine. However, he shows the tobacco, lists the contents and gives decent information. He also has a large catalog. He doesn't do any weird sounds or sayings or stuff like that. I can't stand that.

I got interested in pipe smoking back in 2012 mainly because the smells reminded me so much of my grandfather when he would smoke his pipe and I was already smoking cigars and everyone said how relaxing pipe smoking is, which I really wanted to help get my mind off work. So from 2012-2013 I tried and tried and tried to get where I could smoke my pipes even half way decent and just couldn't get it.
Now I am revisiting and trying to learn more on what I might be doing wrong so I turned to YouTube to give visual aids and also trying to smoke a bowl at least once a day when not on duty.
I guess one nice thing is from when I first started years ago I probably have around 40 Mason jars filled as with different blends and about the same number of unopened tins, so everything I'm smoking has about 10 years of age on it.
Also besides the learning different techniques, I am also interested in reviews of different tobaccos to maybe keep growing my small cellar.

Being a Battleship geek the Iowa Class Battleships were the most battle tested big gun ships still afloat wich is a testament to their effectiveness and resiliency when compared to the Yamato and Bismarck wich both rest on the ocean floor. The Iowa class ships all fought in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm while the Yamato and Bismarck neither survived WWII.

The battleship New Jersey has an excellent youtube channel exploring the NJ itself as well as all things Iowa class.

North Georgia mountains.
James Hoffman (duh), Corbett Report, Jeff Gracik, Take's Blugerass Channel, Audiopheliac, etc.... I have a channel and a podcast for each hobby. News, coffee, Jazz/Bluegrass/Classical, Hifi gear, tobacco, Tony Rice, watches, pottery, antiques.

Though I'm too embarrassed to say who my favorite tobacco reviewer is. And it's only him because we have the same taste so his reviews are actually helpful unlike just about everywhere else.
