I love "Whale Wars."
Every season I'm amazed that the crew survives the trip.

Well, let's see:

Firefly

The Simpsons

Futurama

Battlestar Galactica

South Park

Arrested Development
I think that's it...over the course of 20 years those are all the shows I've managed to find to be consistently worth my time.

I don't watch TV anymore but here are some of my favorites from the past:
The Avengers - when being British was cool. The Brits couldn't figure out why Americans didn't realize this was comedy.

Man from U.N.C.L.E - Napoleon Solo, Elia Kuliaken - ultimate cool spy show

Dr. Who - Tom Baker appearances

Get Smart - no remake will ever capture the humor

The Adams Family - Gothic was never more sexy...forget the movie

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - kind of modern spin on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea one of my favorite kid movies

The Brady Bunch - ok - I was 11 or 12 years old and Marsha, Marsha, Marsha stirred the growth hormones

Creature Features - Not really a series but a Northern CA show that showed some of the best/worst horror movies

Lost in Space - Will....Penny!
Not so Old;

Seinfeld - because it addressed issues/situations we only think about

Tales from the Crypt
Newer Series - when it was on HBO

The Sopranos - excellent acting - intriguing premise

Deadwood - I think it depicted the Wild West as it really was.
New
Dr. Who - I have only watched a few episodes sporadically but I caught a couple of good ones - although they tend to be a little darker than the original.

For me, the heyday of TV was the "Mary Tyler Moore - All in the Family - Bob Newhart Show" sequence. I haven't had a TV in about 10 years.

Damn, I can't believe I forgot to mention Cheers, Seinfeld, Wings and Frasier! Classics that my parents introduced me to. I always forget SOMETHING!

Uncle; I've never seen Red Dwarf, how does it compare to the book? Because I absolutely loved the book.
