Bent dublins, churchwardens, billards of all the varieties are appealing. Nothing that looks new, I like the classic styles.

Variety seems to be my favorite, truly. But by a slim margin, I like billiards, Dublins, pots, bulldogs, zulus, apples, pokers and authors ... and any other of the traditional shapes that I happen to own. I even have a compact Oom Paul, one of the old Iwan Ries house Bentons. Rhody's ... you get the idea.

I love Bulldogs and Canadians, but I can never resist a classic full bent English billiard.

One look at the pipe rack tells me I have a jones for the smaller Italian apples and billiards.
That said, that one lone Peterson big bent brandy is still one of my favorites.

From reading all of the posts here it seems to me that the billiard and bulldog are the crowd favorites.. nothing wrong with the classics! although i do feel it a bit strange that no one has said that they enjoy the cob...

I had a cob at one point and it was nice not really having to worry about dropping it or anthing like that. i used it a lot fly fishing and crabbing.

I don't have any heartburn with cobs. I leave a few on the boat for just those reasons. If it accidently goes overboard I'm out all of $5. They don't really ever loose that saltwater taste even after they dry out. I just thought the perspective was interesting.

Canadians, lovat and nearly anything else with a long shank and not too much bend. Also Bulldogs and Dublins.

Most of my pipes are some derivation of a bent Apple or Author or bent Rhodesian shape with a 60/40 lean towards sandblasts. Though I do have a decent collection of various straight pipes as well, I like variety but I always come back to the bent Apple.
