Damn Chasing. It reminded me of that tobacco theme, what was it called, Velvet, the one with the cherries? The one in an erotic type pouch. Here Borkum Riff, it's one of the few tobaccos that survive in the tobacconists. It made me laugh, I swear I'm just drinking some bourbon.
The cherry is pretty rough. Even after production left Mac Baren it still has that aftertaste. The bourbon whiskey Borkum Riff is really good. It's all I smoke in one of my meerschaums now.Damn Chasing. It reminded me of that tobacco theme, what was it called, Velvet, the one with the cherries? The one in an erotic type pouch. It is a pleasant and tasty tobacco, easy to access and at a good price even here. I have tried a few varieties, this as you rightly say, is a decent tobacco. The cherry is pretty rough. do you recommend drying this one prior to smoking? It's from folks who haven't learned good smoking techniques thinking that they are getting tongue bite because the tobacco is bad.
GH twists toppings aren't very obvious and you really have to be looking for them to notice them.
The dude abidesEven properly dried and smoked with good technique, I can’t abide Peterson Irish Whiskey!
Nah, just pack a bit lighter and smoke it slowly.do you recommend drying this one prior to smoking?
I smoked straight out of the pouch. At least on my example the moisture was just right.do you recommend drying this one prior to smoking?
That one's also Cognac isn't it?I remember liking Bagpiper's Dream when I first began. But haven't seen it for sale since, would love to try it now I have more experience.
It might well be, my memory of it isn't that clear. I knew it had something like that, so assumed it was whisky given it was a Scottish blend. And my palate isn't anywhere near sophisticated enough to tell the difference between a cognac and a whisky. I could drink the two and not know the difference, let alone smoke em lolThat one's also Cognac isn't it?
The Country Squire-Sir James? Not familiar. How old? I know their blends.I just demolished a pouch of Borkum Riff Bourbon which I really enjoyed and rummaging through my cellar found Country Squires Sir James which is also flavored with whisky. I'm really digging these whisky topped blends and I'm wondering what else would be worth trying. I see Peterson has an Irish Whisky blend that I'll try, since I've tried most of the Pete/Dunhill blends and I've liked them.
Anything recommendations for some whisky flavored blends I should try?
Thanks.
I just looked it up hoping to order more but it's no longer listed at all. It was a limited small batch blend. Alas. The Country Squire-Sir James? Not familiar. How old? I know their blends.
