I did a search of the site for Falcon reviews and all I could find was what blends folks were smoking out of them. I don't currently own one, but I am interested in one of the bent ones I've been looking at. I was just wanting to get a little feed back from people who have smoked them before I buy,

I have two falcon stems and five or six bowls including a block meerschaum. They’re fine but not my favorites, nowhere near what I expected. They are not great smokers during the summertime heat as they don’t cool down, but being able to smoke multiple bowls back-to-back when it’s cooler outside is nice. As the fall and winter continue I may get more use out of them.

One of the fun things about Falcon pipes is that you can purchase just one stem and use it with multiple bowls—it’s great for someone on a budget. Perhaps, it’s because of laziness, or I just like having complete pipes, I usually pair one bowl with one stem and create one whole new pipe.

Can be a bit leaky, dottle-wise, at the seal of the bowl. So long as you flick, or use the little noose thingummy to soak it up, this can be mitigated.

I have 3 stems and 10 bowls, that equals to 30 pipes in a way. Excellent smokers, value for
money pipes. Usual bowls are
small but there are bigger ones available plus special meerschaum or even corn cob bowls. You won’t regret it!

I suspect it's nearly impossible to get a bad smoke from a Falcon. I've got briar bowls and a meer bowl, I use them mostly as travel or outdoorsy pipes. Don't bother with the little dry rings, they're not necessary.

In general my earlier stems have much nicer bits, so it may be worth trying to source an estate and clean it up. But the modern, larger bowls are better for a longer smoke.

I have both the chrome and international bent stems, and prefer the chrome. The international has a plastic cover and feels kind of cheap; it also has a smaller airway, which I don’t like as much.

Overall, I’m very happy with my Falcons. It always smokes cool and dry: once I was smoking a large bowl of Blood Red Moon, at times really chugging away at it, and the smoke never got hot. And I can tailor the pipe to the circumstances. If I have a shorter time, I can use a small bowl; a larger bowl is good for a longer time and/or flakes.

It’s hard to go wrong with a Falcon, I think!
