Looks like Max is staying at Red Bull next season. I'm surprised as the new regulations - with a new power unit - favour Mercedes. Red Bull are building their engine for the first time and i've read rumours that it isn't going that well. The rumours i've read about Mercedes are the total opposite. When they switched to hybrid engines Mercedes had the best PU and Lewis took full advantage of that by winning 6 world titles. I thought Max would go to Mercedes and do the same.

My guess is that if next years Red Bull isn't at the front then Max will be off to Mercedes for 2027. He could literally walk into any team in the paddock. Next year is gonna be really interesting.

Not a bad race. Nearly a McLaren disaster at the end.
Yeah, the last 5 laps were awesome. I didn't think Lando would be able to hold him off but he managed it.

It's really good to see a close race for the title and I hope it stays that way in the second half of the season.

Here's an article about Lewis saying Ferrari should replace him and dropping hints he might not be back after the break. It's all nonsense. He's just pissed that it's not working out at Ferrari at the moment. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year. If Ferrari don't give him a car that's capable of fighting for the title then I could see him leaving them. His contact was only for 2 years and ends next season.

If he left Ferrari where would he go? If Max goes to Mercedes in 2027 - which I think he will - then a seat would be open at Red Bull. Would Red Bull want him? What with all the new regulations it's going to be really interesting to see what happens next year.

Cadillac have signed Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas for their debut season next year. That's a good lineup with a ton of experience. It's going to be interesting to see what Cadillac can do over the next few years.

I’ll pay but I’m not happy that ESPN has locked up some content like Ted’s Notebook behind a paywall since the break.
