Another pundit presented a differing point of view. Verstappen is arguably extracting more performance from a vehicle which is inferior to the McLaren and being competitive doing so. His drive and the Red Bull strategy on Sunday was looking like it would pay off spectacularly until the late safety car and three uncharacteristic bonehead stupid mistakes by, not Max, but the Red Bull pit wall. (1) Calling him into the pit; (2) Affixing hard tires, what?; and (3) incorrectly instructing Verstappen to give a place to Russell. Monumental FUBAR. No bloody wonder Verstappen lost his cool. So it sure looks like the championship is heading towards a McLaren, but it is in no way outlandish to suggest Verstappen is going to compete down to the wire.

Looks like Mercedes are trying to snag Max again. I'd be surprised if he doesn't stay at RB for at least one more season to see what they can do with the major changes next year.

Why are Piastri fans crying shenanigans? There were some emotional reactions. Not that I follow F1, just curious.
I dunno. That’s why I asked for opinions. But something did not look right to me. Appeared unsportsmanlike at best, and at worst, an infraction according to the stewards who applied the penalty. But, that Aussies for you. 🤣

Yeah, he definitely deserved the ten second penalty. McClaren were saying that the telemetry they had said different but the stewards disagreed. Looked like he slowed down too much from where I was sitting.

My wife and me saw F1 the film last night and we are Formula One fans now!

A 61 year old Brad Pitt is now the patron saint of geezers. Not only did he win in the end, he also got the girl, and like John Wayne drove off into the sunset, to let the young guy reap the glory.

Bravo!

Paul Newman move over.:)
