Lousy photos, but that only excuses us, not the seller.
Alas, it's not a Dunhill. The nomenclature actually reads D&P, which stood for David and Paul Lavietes (close kin to Henry). This pipe very probably dates from WW2, and is entirely typical of the company's output. You can find the D&P backstory many places online, including notably in one of Steve Laug's excellent posts (see https://rebornpipes.com/tag/dp-pipes/).

Like Paul Harvey, Jguss always comes through with the rest of the story!

I had to google Henry Lavietes:

Only because it costs so much to fix the spade machine at Grabow when it starts spitting out white circles.

The value of the 'white dot' was what motivated my replacement of a replacement stem that arrived with my one and only Dunhill pipe. (see avatar)

I spent more on the 'certified Dunhill' stem repair from Howard Shulte than I did for the pipe, which was perfectly smokeable with the stem it arrived with.

I still think the total I've got invested is obtainable via open sale. It's a 1954 656 1/2 bent shellbriar and I've got just about $150.00 into it, making it my most costly pipe (out of pocket). I was gifted one that's worth a lot more, but it's not a Dunhill. (Sav Autograph)

That looks more like one of these Hobby Blocks you can buy then a finished Pipe. Also pro Tipp: If you want to commit fraud be sure to at least Not have the actual company name in your pictures. Or is this just case of a seller absolutly not having a clue and just copying a header?
