Excellent Response to Anti-Tobacco Nazi From Cortezattic

Here is a perfect example of how the anti-smoking / anti-tobacco crowd aggressively pushes for the trampling of our rights and freedoms, tries to turn smokers into pariahs, is rude, ill-informed, and self-righteous, while at the same time, us pipe smoker's are even-tempered, logical, intelligent, and respectful.

Why is "Carol" even reading this site? She does not give the impression of being someone looking for information or to be educated in the least about pipe smoking. A closet piper? Doubt it. A crusder looking to infiltrate our ranks? Most certainly.

A woman with no life? Absolutely!

Good for Cortez but I fear his words to her were wasted. "Carol" and her ilk only look to to squash anything that others like because they are dismal, lonely people.

Good question. I think she probably lives in or around Ocean City MD. She may have a " Google News Alert" with certain terms that relate to her locality and this popped up on her radar.
The article could have been re-posted through social media. We put it on Bob's PM.com FB Wall, which pretty much serves as the PM.com FB account.
Anyway, whatever online service it was, there are many ways to find content that you think may interest you by searching for it or having it "pushed" to you via a service where you enter keywords based on your interest.
That's my best guess.

I couldn't tell for sure from her ip address where she is located, as it traced back to Herndon VA, and she has Cox as her ISP. Herndon VA is where there are a bunch of huge network operations centers, for big ISP's like America Online and such, so you can't always tell where someone is located from the ip address depending on who their ISP is.

This all started when we allowed certain women to wear shoes. I am all for equal rights and dig the sisters of the Briar. Some women just need to be chained to the sink and have just enough chain to reach the fridge to get me a cold beer. I am not a sexist but for heavens sake who the hell pulled her chain!!! She is more than likely some Fat Old woman that has a million cats and was rejected by every smoker she wanted to hook up with. If she thinks we stinks she should smell her own fat rolls and realize it is her fat ass. Hell a homelessguy would have more standards than to bang that evil witch. Carol may be a former cigarette smoker. Some of the most adamant and aggressive anti-smoking folks I've ever seen are former smokers, now self-charged with reforming everyone else.

I just read Cortez's response and, yes, it is indeed excellent.

Extremely well done.

Articulate, reasonable, restrained, factual and even amusing.

And Carol's post seems to support my contention that the anti-smoking furor has now gone beyond a legitimate concern for public health. This uncompromising zeal appears to be evolving into a movement that is determined to portray tobacco consumption -- in any form, anywhere -- as a socially repugnant behavior that should be obliterated.

Tolerance is a word that's not in their vocabulary.

It appears to me that she was speaking about cigarette smokers, not pipe smokers. I know we are all in this fight against the anti-tobacco nazis together but the only litter we would produce as pipe smokers is maybe a pipe cleaner or two but I don't know anyone who just throws those on the ground. In fact, the ash, dottle, and tobacco (if I don't finish a bowl) is probably good for the plants anyways.
