The only stand alone pocket knives I carry are benchmades, either the 940 series or a 960. Since I've started working around cars I don't carry them around as much.(the clip could scratch a car)

These two I have on me every day. I do rotate in a few others...

Work knife: Olfa
Play knife: Swiss Army "Huntsman" - not crazy big, but lots of useful stuff.

For work I carry a Gerber 450 and if I am going out in the evening or weekends it is usually an Opinel carbon steel with pear wood handle.

For ever day carry, I switch between a full sized Griptilian and a Spiderco Native.

My own 'rule' is that I carry the very best knife that I can afford to lose.

So I won't be carrying a Chris Reeve with me...

Kershaw Ken Onion Black Leek Folding Knife with Speed Safe

I ordered this knife in April. Been carrying it since then; I really like it. Came razor sharp, pocket clip included, made of solid stainless steal with tungsten DLC black coated blade and handle, and has the index (finger) open system. Great everyday knife for me.

"@bigvan its about 11 inches. I carry it in a horizontal holster on the small of my back."
Is that comfortable? Or legal?
I have a small 2 blade Swiss Army in my computer bag and occasionally will have a small jack knife with me while doing chores, but I can't imagine the need for anything like that. But then again I live in the suburbs and work in an office so there's no real need for anything more.

I think it is an Old Timer, but the logo has worn off over the last 25 years. Three blades and works great for opening boxes of copy paper at work.

This little guy rests in my pipe case. I use it for cutting flakes.

I carry a Gerber Powerframe. If I forget it in the morning, I just don't feel right the rest of the day.
