I called DHL and was told that the shipment was awaiting FDA clearance, in spite of what the online status was showing. So, there's still hope.
I am sharing these changes in status mainly to document what others may expect to encounter.
Have you called DHL to find out why it is being returned?
No HU for me from Estervals. Here is my email from DHL:
"Your shipment is being returned because we cannot deliver tobacco to individuals. I apologize for this inconvenience and delay. I will close out my file with no further follow up. "

I hate to say this but I've read elsewhere that Esterval's has been paying to re-send the packages with some success, apparently on the principle of "second time's the charm." It's worth a go if you don't mind the wait.
Not sure if you are referring to me, but that was my experience. The second shipment attempt arrived the day after it shipped. One thing I would note- if you are corresponding with Esterval’s via email, check your junk folder. All messages from the company other than Andreas went to my junk folder and I almost missed out on their offer to re-ship at no additional cost. I was prepared to eat the shipping cost for the first attempt, told them so, and they still sent it a second time at no charge. I‘ll be ordering again for sure.
Thanks for chiming in with your first hand experience with this. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the thread on the forums I read.

My parcel is apparently taking the scenic route now?. I’m literally 25 minutes outside of Chicago, so they transfer it down to Miami????? After sitting in Chi town for a Month.? With this type of inept shipping, who needs DeJoy to sink USPS. (Funny how I filed my claim this morning, and a few hours later get this update, after weeks of no response when contacting Chicago ISC).
My parcel continues its world tour (apparently)? Might just get this by August.

Soon after the last tracking entry, this package disappeared entirely from the system.
The exact same bullshit message I got just before my order got whisked back to Germany. Hopefully your's will arrive at your doorstep.
Where the heck was the end destination???? Was it going overseas? Please don’t tell me it was going from FL to NY?.

IIRC, it was going to Moldova.
Isn’t Molded va in the general vicinity of Romania/Hungary/Slovakia?? (I’m too lazy to look at a globe right now?)

Although, I believe the time frame lines up with the General Strike movement in NYC at about that time. Could’ve been a lazy/vindictive/or just plain stupid employee tossing the package in wrong shipping bin.
I suspect it’s more a case of package got damaged, no one wanted to alert of the damage, and they just sent it on the merry go round. When I worked for USPS, I never wanted to deliver an obviously damaged item. Made sure my supervisors always signed off one of those claims stickers, and always approached the customer with an explanation that I didn’t damage it.

Mine was 5 to 6 days. But if concerned be sure to read the fine print on one of their pages about some products apparently not readily on hand can cause a delay of a couple or more weeks before shipping as well. I don't remember which section of their site it was located but believe it was prior to checking out.
