I think we may have more power than we realize... I've seen other forums get special limited editions made for them and I'm pretty sure we have 10x the membership of those. Maybe if we start a user petition thread or a poll and people could post how much they intend to buy? I've also seen other forums do group buys and get better pricing.. Just a thought.

The more I think about this the more I believe GH/SG would totally do it. The new Hansom Plug is one example, but moreover, BOTHY FLAKE! That was a rather tiny group of interested pipers who actually got SG to do this same thing for their club if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure how many we could account for between the lot of us, but I bet it would shock you. When there is something I like, I buy it by the pound and smoke the hell out of it. Ennerdale Plug would fit that category in spades. I'd commit to a couple of pounds. I'm not alone. Embers, Weezell, Condor, etc., just to name a few I believe would not hesitate either.

A poll thread might be in order....

I would be in for a few tins! Ennerdale Flake is excellent and smoke it sort of sparingly since I was lucky enough to pick up 2 25g bags a while back, 1 in the cellar 1 almost gone. Plugs have a different texture and are cool since there are only a limited variety of Plugs here in the US.

Seems like I once saw a YouTube video of a young man who was visiting Dublin and the University there and during his visits to local tobacco shops encountered this plug. He commented that he’d never seen it before and didn’t know it even existed. It’s possible I’m not remembering it correctly since it was just a random watch whilst surfing but it kinda stuck with me. So, I do think it exists or once did, unless it was another blend and I just have a confused memory of it.

sounds more like a weird dream you had then a video. Are you sure that wasn't a dream. Question any mythical creatures in the shop? Like a real unicorn or werewolf or even a werepipesmoker (you know only on the full moons do they wonder the moors puffing on Clan?)

Just heard back from Gawith. Ennerdale Plug is no longer being made but they would if the demand was there.
So if you want it, start emailing them I assume...

I can't imagine plugs are that popular. Since they're flakes minus one step and yet there aren't that many on the market compared to flakes.

About the 2:00 minute mark. Like I said earlier it was Erinmore but it seemed like he did find a unicorn tobacco in the wilds of Dublin.

Wonder if he got the job he was interviewing for?
