Does any one have any recommendation on an electric razor that will give a good close shave? I'm in the Army and have to shave every day and have to share a bathroom with a roommate so I like the idea of being able to shave dry. Any time I can save is a very very good thing and not having to wait for him to be done in the bathroom every morning to shave will save me time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was in the 75th rangers and let me tell you that you can't beat a real razor but in a pinch use a wet/dry electric razor. Just a little advice!

Braun makes a good cheap one that you can pick up at the exchange. They're like $12, and may last easily three months before the batteries die. But then again I'm not super hairy either. If you are looking for a high-quality want to think Norelco makes some pretty good ones that won't absolutely kill your bank account

Hey. I'm also in the Army and before I could get moved in with my wife we had a single bathroom for a full floor in the barracks. I went to the PX and bought a Braun MobileShave. I've been shaving with it ever since. If I shave with it every single day (including weekends), it keeps me in regs for over 24 hours. If I skip a day on the weekend, it might miss a single hair or two on my face and I just dry shave the hair it misses. It's also powered with 2 AA batteries so you can carry it around with you. I throw it in my ACU's and when I forget to shave it's always with me. I'm sure you can find something better, but it's literally the best purchase I've made at a PX for under $20. Good luck!

I use a 1950's single edge safety razor, sorry, can't help. If you want to talk SE's or DE's...well, I'm in.

I have a panasonic Model no. ES8243; I love it. If you look on amazon there are a ton of reviews for it.

I'm with Irish on this one. It all depends on how much facial hair you've got. I never stayed reg with electric, but it can help in a pinch. I did have a Braun and it did ok.

I can't shave with a real razor because I have whiskers that grow in every direction and then I'm plaqued with the tendency to have ingrown hairs. Norelco has been my face saver for almost 20 years now. They are long lasting and you easily control the closeness of the shave.

I shave in the shower with disposable but the few times I do use my electric, I wonder why I don't use it more. It is a Remington Rechargeable R4135, retails for $89.00 here in Canada. Best electric I have had in 30 yrs

I bought a Braun Series 7 when I retired 4 years ago. It's expensive but you can find them discounted to about $200. Does the job for me with no bloodshed,

Been using Brauns for 30 years of assorted prices and recommend them all.

I CANNOT say the highest priced ones give me a better shave. my current was about $150, no9t sure the model but it selfcleans and does a great job.

I can't use an electric shaver. I break out in a minute, probably because I would have to shave 2-3 times a day. My facial hair grows fast, I shave at 6am and have 5 o'clock shadow by noon. This is 5 days of not shaving

It looks like any name brand is a winner.

HOWEVER, if you can get a Braun MobileShave for under $20
Let's see, we've heard testimonials from Braun,Norelco, Remington, Panasonic. I anticipated that. Now are you really confused?

I'm with toker. My whiskers are like steel wool and grow every which way. When Unwashed in the Army I was 20 years younger and could use an electric in a pinch, but that's totally out now.
