Now that the drop has pretty much finished, I am curious whether your experiences ordering any blends you were looking for came easy to or were you stymied.

I was able to locate and find everything I wanted in the amounts I was looking for - except of course for Penzance, which I suspect is spoken for before it hits the shelves.

Today, two B&M businesses called me and offered me some more Esoterica blends, one being Penzance. Of course, I said...yes. As others have said, building a relationship with B&Ms is the only way to go. This also means buying and purchasing from them other tobaccos from time to time and having an account and credit card on hand with them on the account. I sourced this last drop primarily from two B&Ms as well as another well known establishment. Two of the three fulfilled requests I had made of them earlier - so there it is. On line places simply sell out long before you can jump in line.

In Arizona we only have 2 B&M's that carry it ever. One of them didn't get any that I'm aware of and the other got a very small shipment. I was lucky enough to call them on the right day and got a few items. I missed Penz, SH and Peacehaven this year. Peacehaven did drop this year, I have never been able to find a bag. Generally speaking, it seems nearly impossible to buy online and the best route is to support a B&M.

I was in NYC this past weekend and, as always, stopped in at Barclay Rex. The kindly woman there directed me to the tobacco and then sort of whispered, "a box from Germains arrived today." Cool! She showed me a variety of Germains tins including one Esoterica (Dunbar, I think it was). Great. Then I asked how much: $50/tin. This when the other brands were $32. So, Germains can stuff it. Or, at least, BR can stuff it.

My local store had a bunch of tins and bags in stock but no Blackpool or Ramsgate so I passed on what was there.

I really enjoy Pembroke and Margate as well as And So to Bed. For a while it looked as if the flippers had the run of the territory. I eventually bought what I thought i needed without over buying and limiting others. I think I have one particular B&M I can have a strong relationship with for the future so that I won’t have to hop to so much. The hunt is almost as good as capturing the prey.

I don't know if they make it anymore but St Ives was always a favorite of mine. Down to my last mason jar...

I took one lead I got and tried to find it, that didn't work out, so I gave up.

I'd like to get my hands on some And So To Bed... Maybe next time.
For years, The Briary had And So To Bed in stock, on the very top shelf in bags. I haven't been in there in a tad over a year now. So, i can't say whether it is still there, but I know that you have to actually go in to get their Esotericas. They do not mail it or do online sales for Esotericas as a favor to their in person customers.

Actually, my very last time in there, a member here had asked me to go buy some for them and mail it to them. Skip wasn't very happy about gaming his system.

Actually, the drop is still going on.
