A nightcap with my new Bones Professor! Enjoying some C&D Bayou Morning Flake and some companionship from my new little shop buddy we rescued from an abusive neighbor. Her name is Nia and her sister Paisley is currently at the vet hospital awaiting hip surgery from the incident that I witnessed :( We are looking to rehome them after we get them back in good health. My dog is currently not allowed in the shop and she isn't very happy about it but it's for a good cause.

My girlfriend and I have had our dog little over a year now, was a rescue from a terrible hoarding situation in Texas. It's very satisfying to see how he has gotten so much more comfortable with the world around him in this short amount of time.

good on you. That Nia is clearly a sweetheart. Give her some scratches on the side of the neck if she likes that for me. I personally think that anyone that treats an animal abusively should get the same treatment themselves. There just is no need for it.

Good on you for helping those two sweethearts. Some people are monsters.

Did you call the cops on this neighbor? Most places have laws against that sort of animal abuse and cruelty.

I hope Paisley is back with her sister. Safe, happy, and recovering!

My German Shepherd rescue was isolated, beaten, neglected, had no training nor any socialisation for his first two years of life.
When he started showing aggression to his abusers they dumped him at the pound.

A rescue group saved him. Over the next six months he bit two potential adopters [people who had no business getting a dog with Wooki's history] sending them to A&E for stitches.
The rescue group were discussing euthanising him when I agreed to foster him.

He's been with me for over a year. Although he still does not trust most people, he has accepted four friends after many months of careful introduction.

Wooki is a rather sweet natured boy. He's bonded to me and would not be in his interest to rehome him so he's here to stay.

Yes we did and it's a felony here in Ohio. I have video of the incident also from our outside camera's. Animal control and the police are working on it pretty hard thankfully. Here's a couple pictures of Paisley. She's the sweetest cat I've ever met. She's doing great!20201114_000836.jpg20201114_000943.jpg

What a beauty! Good on you for taking them in and especially for taking the proper actions to make sure these monsters don't do that again. In my book, people who abuse animals are in the same category as people who abuse children, and they sadly tend to get away with it much of the time. People who rescue abused animals, however, are some of the finest people I know.
