Yes I originally thought that but am wondering if the bottom line extends too far to make it an H. Maybe 1897, 99 or 1910?I have 1903.
The only other option is 99 look at the back of the letter. The small points. I think the swoosh at the bottom of 1903 might be poor photography.Yes I originally thought that but am wondering if the bottom line extends too far to make it an H. Maybe 1897, 99 or 1910?
Definitely the patent era, although the patent is the PLip. But the age is there.Yeah I was trying to use those 3 points, two short and top curl as my reference. I agree that swoosh is photo related. I’ll wait till I see in person or get a better shot from him. Either way, the lozenge shape places it in the Peterson patent period right?
Definitely post that bad boy up!!Cool should have pipe in hand within the week so can take a better pic of band
You’re welcome. Lol.Yeah she’s definitely an 03. I couldn’t see it until I compared it to another date stamp on eBay and was like “duh”View attachment 60570
In regards to the button, can I replace with a Phil pad or similar chalk filter? I’ve only dealt with briar pipes from this period so it’s all new territory for me.Nice Cutty, I’d get a Bakelite Stem. Also the thing at the bottom is the button. The way old meers are designed there’s a good sized hole there. You need the button or a small screen otherwise it’s clog city.
Great Find!!
