Hello All-

From my username, you'll be able to infer two things from me. I'm from Dallas, Texas and like many other pipe smokers, I'm a huge Tolkien fan. I've been smoking pipes and cigars for 6 years. Recently, within the past couple of years, I've made the change from a cigar smoker who sometimes smokes a pipe to a pipe smoker who sometimes smokes a cigar. My pipe of choice is typically a Savinelli. I have three that I rotate through right now and over about the next year I plan on buying four more to have a pipe dedicated to each day of the week. I'm not a big fan of Aros but when the mood strikes I do partake (about 1 of every 5 or so smokes). Usually, I alternate between an English blend or VaPer. A couple of favorite blends of mine at the moment are Nightcap and Luxury Bullseye Flake.

Happy Piping,

Hello OzPiper,
How's the tobacco purchasing situation down under? Is there a lot available to you?
Dire. ?

Apart from cigarette kiosks, there is not a single B&M tobacconist in Sydney.
There are a few retailers in Melbourne who also sell online. They are not allowed to show photos of the products - both tobacco or pipes. Choice is very limited compared to what you guys can get in the States and over in Europe and the UK.
Price of a 2oz/50gm tin is @ AUD$150

Thankfully my TAD kicked in soon after I started back with pipes 3years ago and I have a small stash that should do me for a few years.
