I posted about my last pipe I was working on. I called it the "Drunken Poker" It was a pipe I was making for someone and it looked great, but had a couple bad flaws so will end up being a shop pipe.
The person I was making that one for liked the shape, so I have started "Drunken Poker" Part-2 it too has a flaw but is nothing that will effect the pipe. I could use partial rustication to hide it but just don't like the look of partial rustication and think this pipe looks better the way it is.
The pipe is almost 3" high and the bowl is 7/8" x 2". It looks pretty heavy but is light for it's size.
I'm waiting on a few acrylic stems so that I can use that material on this one.
It turned out better than No. 1
This one is with the dark stain to bring out the grain.
These pictures are after sanding and a lighter stain, followed by buffing and carnuba.
