History records that there were reports of mysterious lights in the sky in the nights leading up to
  • the destruction of the Temple Mount in AD 70.
  • the sack of Rome in AD 410.
  • the fall of Constantinople in 1453.
I am making no such claims about the current phenomenon -- which appears to involve mostly man-made drones (although a couple of clips seem to involve something different that may not be man-made) -- just noting the record for historical interest.

I know it's from a Monty Python sketch, but I can't remember which. Maybe one of the Gumby sketches?
Ah, a hospital sketch. "Bring me the machine that goes ping!" The Welsh word for oven is "popty" and the slang for a microwave is "popty ping".

Add to this list the sacking of Sutliff, and it makes perfect sense.

And I didn't even need to write out a bunch of stuff on pieces of paper, pin them on a corkboard, and connect them all with red string! Which is just as well, because I only have tan string, and that would blend in with the corkboard and I wouldn't be able to discern a thing, even before I started drinking. 🍺

I listened to a guy who suggested that "they" may be looking for a nuke that was rumored to be hidden somewhere there. Feds wouldn't tell anyone that if anything like that scenario was going on.

Guys name was Elizondo. Can't give all these stories much credence.

This is one of the funniest things that's happened in YEARS.... At least, it would be if it didn't give me such concern for our future. It's like collectively, people have forgotten that there are things IN THE SKY. Every day. And there have been for years.

I've viewed the footage of every single reported done sighting I've been able to find anywhere, in normal media or randomly on line.

Every SINGLE piece of footage I've seen - literally, every SINGLE one - has been easily identifiable as a manned aircraft. The vast majority have been airliners. You can see the airline insignia in the logo lights!

Now, I've worked as an airline captain for almost 30 years, so I get it, I'm more used to seeing airplanes in the sky at night than the average person. But still. How does this kind of mass delusion come about? Do people really just NEVER look up?!

Eventually, someone will get some video of an actual drone. Because I mean, they do exist. People do fly them. And the conspiracists will feel vindicated, and this will perpetuate, and they will ignore the fact that all the other footage which supposedly shows a wide scale event is just airliners .. and it will be painful.

I'm pretty glad I don't have EWR on my schedule this month or next... These idiots are going to be shooting at airliners soon.FB_IMG_1734218591376.jpg

Absolutely, no one has any idea the amount of stuff in the air all day, every day and most people are terribly unobservant. EWR lands 1,200 planes every single day. Where do people think they are landing from? That's almost 1 plane per minute. The sky is loaded with stuff.

We're also a bunch of idiots and that was BEFORE Staten Island showed up.
