Strong freshly brewed coffee,
Any weissbier,
Large glass of shiraz,
Scotch or rum, mostly Wild Turkey or Dewers dead straight,
All served with a large glass of cold water on the side.

The Water
Non-alco - cold: Sioux City rootbeer, warm: black coffee or the occasional cappuccino

Beer - Grain Belt or Pabst Blue Ribbon

Spirit - to quote one of my favorite TV shows (How I Met Your Mother), I like a Scotch that's old enough to order it's own Scotch. If I can afford it, Johnny Walker Blue, if not I'll go for Jameson of any kind or Crown Black.
Iowamike - Not sure what part of Iowa you're from, but if you get a chance, head up towards the Twin Cities and look for Grain Belt. It's similar to Yuengling, I'm lead to believe. My buddy from PA brought me back a bottle of Yuengling last month, but my (expletive) roommate drank it before I could get to it.

Interesting to read all the responses.

I would always drink Orange Juice or Black Coffee whilst smoking my pipe.
- Surprised some people are saying water or coke, as these give me tongue bite.

When I smoke, I generally don't drink anything. Afterward, a nice espresso hits the spot.

Non-alcoholic: dark roast coffee, diet tonic w/ a splash of sparkling cranberry (surprisingly good with a pipe!), tea (hot or iced)

Beer: something hoppy or stout

Liquor: a good single malt
I should add that I rarely drink alcohol when I smoke.

Im gonna have to say for the non alcoholic it would be a good cup of coffee, for the beer its gonna have to be a Marble IPA (local ABQ brew) or a good ol Coors Original, and for the hard stuff I have to stick with my favorite, Jim Beam Black.

If I am trying a tobacco (pipe or cigar) for the first time, I always just have water with it. I want to experience the flavor of the smoke without anything altering it.
I generally don't like anything carbonated when I smoke, so usually coffee, tea, water. If drinking liquor, a good bourbon like Knob Creek or Eagle Rare usually. Scotch, generally my standard McCallen 12.
On the rare occassion that I do have a beer, it's usually Shiner Bock.
