OMG, Duane! That is one helluva trial for you- and the pup. Glad it's resolved happily.

Purgatory would be a good description of the feeling. I've only had that kind of hole in my chest one other time in my life.

Gumbeaux seems to have pulled through. Still watching him closely, but he is doing much better today than he was yesterday at this time.

He puked up a couple rounds of rodent bones last night... no doubt a groundhog or a squirrel. (Too big for a mouse or mole) He's not normally one to nose into things, and I think this old dog learned a new lesson the hard way.

I'm just happy the incident didnt end him, because it looked close to that. Thanks for the thoughts, prayers & support.

This here is Johnathan Hank Cash, or Hank to his friends. He’s a handful of a pointer/chocolate lab mix. He’s just a touch bigger now at almost 50lbs, but he’s camera shy and doesn’t like my pipes too much. He *does* really love the taste of boots, though.
